A National Transformation Movement

THE REMEMBER
ME PROJECT

Restoring Dignity · Rebuilding Lives · Renewing Hope

Every person on the streets has a story. A name. A family. A dream they once carried.

SCROLL

The Transformation Pathway

Our proven six-month programme walks alongside each person through a structured journey from crisis to confidence.

Safety Stability Healing Skills Reintegration Independence

What Is The Remember Me Project?

The Remember Me Project is a national transformation movement designed to reach every person living on the streets across all 160 districts of Zambia.

It combines humanitarian care with rehabilitation and empowerment — moving beyond temporary relief to create permanent pathways out of street life. Each participant is guided through a carefully designed six-month programme that addresses immediate needs while building long-term capability.

We don't simply ask, "What does this person need?" — we also ask, "What can this person become?"

WHY THE PROJECT MATTERS

When people are forgotten, society loses more than a person.

Contributing Factors

Poverty & Unemployment

Economic hardship leaves families unable to provide, pushing people into survival mode on the streets.

Family Breakdown

Divorce, death, and domestic instability remove the safety net that keeps vulnerable people rooted.

Rural-Urban Migration

People leave villages for cities chasing opportunity, only to find isolation and informality.

Mental Health Challenges

Without access to services, mental illness becomes a sentence to life on the margins.

Substance Abuse

Addiction compounds vulnerability and makes it nearly impossible to break free without structured support.

🌪

Natural Disasters

Floods and droughts displace families, erode livelihoods, and push the most vulnerable onto the streets.

The Consequences
🔗

Social Exclusion

People on the streets become invisible — cut off from community, services, and opportunity.

Family Separation

Children lose parents; parents lose children. The family unit dissolves under the weight of crisis.

Poor Health Outcomes

Exposure, malnutrition, and lack of care lead to preventable illness and early death.

📈

Loss of Economic Opportunity

Talent, energy, and potential are wasted when people have no platform to contribute.

Increased Vulnerability

Without protection, people on the streets face exploitation, violence, and abuse daily.

😞

Loss of Hope

Perhaps the greatest consequence — when a person stops believing tomorrow can be different, change becomes almost impossible.

Building National Empathy

Every life restored reminds the nation that no one is beyond help, and everyone deserves dignity.

WE WILL
REMEMBER

A promise to every person who has been forgotten.

We will remember the person sleeping on the street, cold and unseen — and we will bring warmth and shelter.
We will remember the person who lost their way, broken by circumstance — and we will walk beside them back to hope.
We will remember the child who never had a chance, born into hardship — and we will give them a future worth believing in.
We will remember the mother who chose survival over shame, doing everything she could — and we will stand with her.
We will remember because remembering is the first act of love. And love — when paired with action — changes everything.
